Hello Curious Minds, Fellow Bloggers, and Online Stalkers,
Welcome to my About Me section. Here, you will find all sorts of words that describe my hobbies, credentials, skills, and any other awesome blog ninja stuff that one might find exciting.
Who am I?
My name is Kysondra Brink [Kuh-sawn-druh] . When people ask me how to pronounce my name, I tell them, “It’s basically like the name Cassandra, except not.” That typically has a tendency to stick with people, or at least it gets them in the general ballpark.
Where am I from?
I’m a Seattleite, born and raised!
If I’m from Seattle, I must love rain, right?
False. Although there are days I romanticize about posting up with a good book or my laptop, seeking shelter from a rainstorm inside a quaint coffee shop, I don’t particularly care much for rain. They say Seattle’s colors are grey and green. But I can attest to the fact that when we have sunny days, it’s beautiful and blue. That totally makes it worth living here.
So, being from Seattle, does that make me a Hipster?
Although I admit to rocking the skinny jeans, I’m not one for flannel or PBR.
Finally, being from Seattle, do I like coffee?
Yes, I thoroughly enjoy my coffee. I love putting tall Vanilla Lattes in the mouth part of my face.
What do I do professionally?
I consider myself to be a Jill-of-all-trades. Currently a full-time college student, I am working towards completing my Bachelor’s in Computer Science, with a Double Minor in English and Psychology. I tutor college-level English, Philosophy, Psychology, and Logic. I’m also an officer and a member of a national college honor society. During the day, I work in accounting for a sportswear design company, with a splash of mild-web development and front-end design thrown in! At night, I am a server. The college life is rough, what can I say?! #thestruggle
What are my hobbies?
I am a blogger, a writer, a foodie, a chef, a planner, a self-taught pianist, a singer, a gamer, a trained dancer, an aspiring programmer, the founder of a local NPO, a makeup artist, a classic cocktail connoisseur, a painter/artist, a leader/manager, a visionary, and a perfectionist.
What are my skills?
Nunchuck skills, bowhunting skills, computer hacking skills….to name a few.
What do I want to be when I grow up?
I’ve never been a person who knew, from day one, that I always wanted to be an (insert job title here). However, I do know that I want to increase my knowledge of programming languages. I would love to — at least for a little while — work as an editor or advice columnist for an online site, such as Huffington Post. I hope to expand my non-profit as the years progress. Though my lack of a desired job title leaves this section somewhat ambiguous, I know that I yearn to be in a position in my life where I’m growing within a company, utilizing my multi-faceted skill sets, keeping myself intellectually stimulated, earning a competitive salary, offering direction and innovative leadership to my peers, knowing what I am doing is generating a positive impact, and working to live. Among those dreams, I think it’d be fantastic to create hilarious greeting cards for people (think, Bald Guy Cards). In addition to that, I aspire to own a dog, whom I will name “Sakura.” I’d love to travel the world, sample cuisine from every country, marry my sweet love of my life, and maybe have a couple mini-me’s running around. Also, having a vacation home wouldn’t hurt! 😉
